Alternative entry and recognition pathways
We offer many pathways at UC
Not everyone follows the same path to university. Whether you have work experience, life skills or non-traditional qualifications, UC offers a range of entry options to help you begin your studies.
These pathways recognise your individual strengths and may support admission or credit towards your chosen degree.
Work & Study: Entry & Credit Checker
Early Offer Scheme
This scheme is for both domestic and international students who are currently completing Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate (IB) at a school in the ACT or NSW.
It allows you to apply for an undergraduate degree at UC and receive an early offer based on your Year 11 results and a 300-word personal statement, well before your final ATAR is released.
Portfolio Entry
Portfolio entry is available for domestic and international students applying for UC undergraduate courses in arts and design, the built environment, or communication and media study areas.
It lets you potentially receive an offer for your course based on the merits of your creative portfolio, rather than your previous studies or qualifications.
Prior work and study recognition
Do you have previous qualifications or work experience?
Your past study or work could reduce your study time, open doors to higher qualifications, or even help you get into uni.
Schools Recommendation Scheme
This scheme provides you with an early offer for your UC course based on the recommendation of your school, before you receive your ATAR. It is for domestic students currently completing an Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) qualification who鈥檇 like to apply for an undergraduate degree at UC.
Special Consideration
Special consideration may be available for students who have experienced educational disadvantage because of challenging circumstances beyond their control during times of previous study.
Veteran Tertiary Support Program
We recognise your commitment to your country and your experience serving in the Australian Defence Force. As a current or former member of Defence, you are invited to participate in our Veteran Tertiary Support Program (VTSP).
