Study Law at UC

A versatile Law degree

UC’s Bachelor of Laws or Bachelor of Justice Studies could be the perfect partner for your legal career and your journey towards impactful change. Bringing together tradition and innovation, the Canberra Law School provides you with support and practical skills so you can gain real-world experience before you graduate.

We'll help you build a versatile suite of skills, whilst you strengthen your comprehension of the law, Australia's constitution and our State and Federal legal systems. From our innovative LLB to our Justice Studies degree, you’ll develop an inside understanding of multiple legal jurisdictions. By graduation, you’ll have the specialist skills and knowledge to tackle critical issues within society and government, both inside and outside the legal profession.

Become a changemaker

Whether you aspire to work in the Australian Public Service, the private sector or a legal firm, you'll be provided with the support and industry connections needed to become a leader of tomorrow and ignite real change in society.

Start your legal studies with UC and make your case for change.

Step into the courtroom

Our on-site Moot Court is one of Australia's first technology-oriented courtrooms, with state-of-the-art audio-visual and video conferencing technology. As a law student, you'll have the chance to hone your skills in a courtroom environment, before you graduate.

More than a piece of paper

Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is a core component of all UC law degrees, providing you the opportunity to put legal theory into practice.

As a law student, you'll get to work on projects that address real legal scenarios. In a variety of different internship opportunities, you'll put your skills to the test and gain hands-on experience with reputable organisations.

Each of our degrees also includes a major project in your final year, helping you become familiar with the legal industry before you graduate.

"Getting to establish and build industry networks has been invaluable."
