The Other Side of The Story

The Other Side of The story was a piece created for my IA3 unit in visual art at school. Using wooden letters and a pastel colour palette, I explore through a contemporary perspective, taking a popular protest slogan, and using my style of indigenous art on specific words to emphasise meaning, invites the audience to interpret the piece however they鈥檇 like to. By creating this artwork, I wanted to create the retrospective of my life journey as a young indigenous female artist. By using these certain materials, I wanted to challenge mainstream ideas of what Australian indigenous art can be.
