Letting Go Of Control

It is a colored pastel artwork with ink and charcoal woven into the piece. Complimentary colors such as orange, pink, red and purple were used to create warm flesh tones whilst also keeping the whimsical fantasy energy that comes with using unique color palettes. Black ink was used for the main shadows of the face, the outline of the eyes and the hair to create prominent values. Large strokes were used to create a loose, out of control artwork that when observed from a distance creates the recognizable appearance of a face.
