Dance Of Wonderland

For my Art project for school, we were given a skateboard to paint. It is an acrylic painting with pencil touches on wood. I saw a photo a while ago similar to the dancers, that inspired this piece, and it's meaning evolved as I progressed making this piece. Of course, with Alice in the centre immobilised by the other dancers while the Queen of hearts and White Rabbit watch. These two characters are highlighted lighter than the dance as a representation of stopping the dance, but they either can't or won't, leaving Alice to be stuck in the dance like a skateboard without wheels.
