I wrote this piece for my Module C Craft of Writing English assessment earlier this year. The prompt was to explore the power of the five senses with an emphasis on one sense, which I chose sight. I was inspired by one of my peers, who put up a charming and sophisticated front despite constantly bragging about the reckless thrills he would chase when no one was around.
This inspiration allowed me to create a character who manipulated the narrator into accompanying him on his dangerous chases for fun, while continuing to promote his suave image in order to keep her enticed and oblivious.
