Misty Autumn Morning

Oil paint on wood, inspired by a picture of a neighbourhood through a window, but reimagined in a simplistic impressionist style, with focus only on a tree outside. The colour palette is kept purposely highkey and muted, the painting itself highly simplified, with wavering lines and soft contrast to mimic long distant memories. The painting is inspired by feelings of nostalgia and cold mornings.
