These 3 pieces illustrate the idea of westernisation being a two-way option. Often individuals are compelled to take western options over traditional ones to 'fit in' or to be 'cool’, or it is just a natural process because of the way they grew up. This three-piece body-of-work has one A2 piece and two A3 pieces. The A2 piece’s mediums are oil pastel and graphite. One A3 piece’s medium is charcoal, and the other A3 pieces medium is oil pastel. All pieces have a recurring motif of the western deck of cards symbolising western cultural and well as tying all pieces together.
