"When the Dusk Knocks Upon His Door" centres around an old writer whose life journey draws to a close, though not before meeting an oddly familiar young man who beckons him to reflect on his past.
I wrote this text for an english creative writing task that focused on the concept of journeys within literature. I was inspired by the universal themes of mortality, death and the cyclical nature of life explored within Emily Dickinson's poem, "Because I could not stop for Death".
