Biography
Tim Murphy is lecturer in the discipline of Vision Science and Optometry at the Â鶹´å of Canberra. Tim research interests include eye tracking, artificial intelligence in healthcare, diabetic retinopathy, and medical education. Tim received his software engineering degree from the Australian National Â鶹´å in 2010, with honours in artificial intelligence. He then completed his optometry studies at Deakin Â鶹´å in 2018. Tim is in the final stages of his PhD in the School of Medicine at Deakin Â鶹´å, looking into improving clinician accuracy and efficiency when screening patients for diabetic retinopathy from both a clinical and technical perspective.
