For students

Eligibility

There are different pre-requisite requirements depending on the internship unit:

Undergraduate:

  • 12046 BGL Internships A and 12047 BGL Internships B – 3 CP UNITS
    • Must have completed 24 CP and have minimum 5.0GPA
  • 12048 BGL Internship C – 6CP UNIT
    • Must have completed 48 CP and have a minimum of 5.0GPA
  • 12049 BGL Internship D – 12CP UNIT
    • Must have completed 48 CP and have a minimum of 5.5GPA
    • Must also be interviewed by unit convenor

Postgraduate:

  • 12086 BGL Internship A PG – 3 CP UNIT
    • Must have completed 24 CP

Assessments

All internship units have assessment tasks that must be completed to pass the unit.

Identify a host

There are several ways to identify internship opportunities:

  • Check on UC Careers Hub /unihub
  • Approach a potential host in your field of study and enquire about opportunities
  • Check BGL Faculty Canvas site for regular updates on opportunities
  • Current employment*

*You can do an internship with your current employer if you have one, but the internship must be different from your current employment activities and with potentially a different supervisor.
