Game Changers for women鈥檚 sport
Leading and up-and-coming UC researchers and experts from the AIS Female Performance & Health initiative shared their work and findings surrounding women in sport research, highlighting the value of investing in this area of research.

Ginninderry Community Day
Over 500 Ginninderry residents and Canberra locals flocked to Paddys Park to get hands-on with a range of research-backed community and environmental initiatives undertaken by UC in Ginninderry, including frogging talks, a kite festival, and play-based education activities.

Creative Canberra 2024: Cities Need Artists Need Cities
Cities Need Artists Need Cities was an 'in conversation' on the practical challenges of Canberra as a site for practising artists with Alison Alder, Ketura Budd, Hannah de Feyter, and Kevin Miller. The discussion explored whether it is possible to sustain an art practice in Canberra and what could and should be done to make living and working as an artist in Canberra more viable.

Mental health harm Prevention Showcase
The 麻豆村 of Canberra is committed to advancing mental health harm prevention for young people in the Canberra region and beyond. This showcase focused on addressing the unique mental health challenges faced by young individuals, using evidence-based strategies alongside community collaboration. Key components included research, technology and innovation; community engagement; education and awareness; and policy and advocacy.

This full-day event included lectures, presentations, performances and conversations from academic experts addressing the boredom and loneliness associated with social media platforms, while exploring possible ways to escape the grip of doom scrolling through art, media activism and more. Hosted in collaboration by UC's Centre for Creative and Cultural Research, Centre for Deliberative Democracy and Global Governance, and News and Media Research Centre with the Institute of Network Cultures (Amsterdam).
